One of the most popular and loved attractions of Gardens By The Bay is the FLOWER DOME. Spread over 1.2 hectares of land, this part of the garden exhibits changing flower displays along with a variety of plants and their species from all around the world.
It replicates a mild, dry climate and features plants found in the Mediterranean and other semi-arid tropical regions. The flower dome houses the African Baobabs, thousand-year-old olive trees and many more!
The dome serves as a conservatory which houses a variety of plants of various species across nine gardens. The central area of the garden displays ever- changing flower shows to reflect different seasons, festivals and cultural themes. I witnessed the “LILYTOPIA” festival, which by the name is easy to guess, exhibited variety of LILIES.
Gardens By The Bay is an extravagant property and this is just a small part of it. Stay Tuned for another installment of Singapore Stories. Do Check Out the earlier post on SuperTree Groves here. I thoroughly enjoyed this amazing place and would suggest you to give more time here and enjoy it in leisure.
